Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t use this product! We decided to put this product on our deck about 4 years ago. We did everything by the instructions...wash, fill in cracks, let dry so long in between, etc. When we first finished, it looked great. Over the winter and by the next summer some of the paint was peeling off. We put another coat on those places. It has peeled ever since. We are now replacing our deck and this has led me to write this review. Our deck is mostly in the sun. We are trying to get the floor boards off and can’t get to the screw heads because they are filled in with paint. Most of the screws are rusted as well as the wood is rotten. It’s almost like moisture is trapped under the paint that is still there. We were hoping to keep the frame of the deck but now we have to cut the deck into pieces to get it apart. For a deck that is almost always in the sun the wood should not be as wet and rotten as it is and the screws should not be rusted like they are. I would not recommend this product. We now have to tear our deck completely down and start all over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time Applied 2 coats on my front and back decks after scrubbing to clean as per the directions. After 2 years the coating is peeling even on the railings. Don't waste your time or money on this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I bargained for I put this on my deck, stairs and handrails fall of 2016. I have had to replace some of the stairs due to it rotting the wood. It has molded in places and can not get that color off paint

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Timberline This is a horrible product. Don't waste your time or money. Our deck looked beautiful the first season then by the next summer it was peeling up. This spring (second year) the whole deck is peeling. We will need to sand and scrape the entire deck to remove it. Unfortunately we also used it on the railing! We can kiss this summer vacation good-by unless we hire someone to do the work. Don't let this stuff near your deck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Western White on top of bare concrete Our small front porch has had the Rescue It surface for about 14 months...in the blazing Texas heat last August, the rainiest May in recorded weather history in central Texas and now faces another blazing summer(no day UNDER average high temps in July until TODAY!) Plenty of 100degree days in the books already and August hasn't even arrived!!! I've observed zero failures in the surface...two coats over a bare concrete pour that was eight/nine years old at the time. To prep, I cleaned and etched a nominal amount, certainly not taking great care but doing an adequate job it would seem. Western White is the color...as it turns out, a little too white and not enough western, so I may try to topcoat it with a color closer to sandstone/beige/almond...in that range. The surface certainly does not need refreshing; but the Western White is a bit stark in its whiteness and our newly painted Rookwood Blue/Green front door would work better with something a bit more muted. I have zero complaints with this product. I am a little concerned with the effectiveness of a topcoat; but I'm investigating the efficacy of putting a sealer on top of a sealer for the sake of a minor color change. We shall see!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from russet worst paint on market. This product is a waste of time and money. I have had it on my deck for 1 year and I used there product to prep my deck (20 years old sanded whole thing) and pouch (which was all new wood) pieces of the painted surfaces are coming off. I don't know if I will ever buy another Olympic paint product again. I spent 5 days prepping and painting and about $650.00. I would not recommend anyone using this product
