Coverage

One gallon covers approximately 350 to 400 sq. feet or 32.5 to 37.1 sq. meters.

Prime

Prime all bare walls, wood, metal and porous surfaces with a high-quality primer. For masonry surfaces, allow to dry, then prime with an appropriate alkai-resistant primer.

Area Preparation

Remove all loose, peeling paint, dirt, mildew, grease and any other surface contaminants. Putty all holes and caulk all open seams. Sand all glossy, rough and patched surfaces. If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust or fumes.

Wear a properly fitted NIOSH-approved respirator and prevent skin contact to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Follow these instructions to control exposure to other hazardous substances that may be released during surface preparation.

Application

Stir thoroughly and apply with a high-quality brush, roller or paint pad or by spray equipment. When using more than one container of the same color, intermix to ensure color uniformity. No thinning is usually required. If needed, add up to ¼ pint (118 milliliters) of water per gallon (3.78 liters).

Application Temperature

Apply paint only when air, product and surface temperatures are between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C).

Drying Time

Normally dries in one hour at 77°F (25°C).

Cleanup

Clean tools and hands with warm, soapy water. Wait at least 14 days after painting before cleaning the surface with a nonabrasive, mild cleanser.
