For even coverage, apply the wood stain to one board at a time. For best results, backbrush into the wood surface.

Clear Wood Finishes

Clear wood finishes & wood stains allow your wood to weather and gray naturally. Least protection, most woodgrain.

Transparent / Toner

Transparent wood stains add a slight hint of color that highlights the wood grain. Less protection, more woodgrain.

Semi-Transparent Stain

Semi-transparent wood stains provide rich color that allows wood grain and texture to show. More protection, less woodgrain.

Semi-Solid Stain

Semi-solid stains give the same rich color as semi-transparent, but hides more wood grain. More protection, least woodgrain.

Solid Color Stain

Solid Color Stain covers the woodgrain and accentuates the natural texture. Most protection, no woodgrain.

Olympic^® Paints and Stains guarantees satisfaction with the application and performance properties of this product when applied to a properly prepared surface in accordance with label directions. This guarantee is limited to your choice of product replacement or refund of the purchase price.

Coverage

One gallon covers approximately 250 to 350 sq. ft. or 23.2 to 32.5 sq. meters per gallon or 3.78 Liters depending on application, wood texture and porosity.

Application

Apply to a small area and allow to dry to ensure acceptable appearance and penetration. Two coats are recommended for maximum durability. Apply first thin coat with a high-quality brush, paint/stain pad, or spray equipment. Apply second coat between 4-72 hours after first coat. Can be applied down to 2°C.

Drying Time

Normally dries in 24 hours when applied in optimal temperatures of 10°C to 29°C or 50°F to 85°F. Application in high humidity or in temperatures below 10°C or 50°F may prolong drying times. Allow 24 to 48 hours of drying time before light foot traffic or replacing furniture.

Drying times listed may vary depending on temperature, humidity, film build, colour and air movement.

Cleanup

Clean brushes and tools with soap and water.

Disposal

Contact your local environmental regulatory agency for guidance on disposal of unused product. Do not pour down a drain or storm sewer.
