Rated 1 out of 5 by from Timberline This is a horrible product. Don't waste your time or money. Our deck looked beautiful the first season then by the next summer it was peeling up. This spring (second year) the whole deck is peeling. We will need to sand and scrape the entire deck to remove it. Unfortunately we also used it on the railing! We can kiss this summer vacation good-by unless we hire someone to do the work. Don't let this stuff near your deck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Western White on top of bare concrete Our small front porch has had the Rescue It surface for about 14 months...in the blazing Texas heat last August, the rainiest May in recorded weather history in central Texas and now faces another blazing summer(no day UNDER average high temps in July until TODAY!) Plenty of 100degree days in the books already and August hasn't even arrived!!! I've observed zero failures in the surface...two coats over a bare concrete pour that was eight/nine years old at the time. To prep, I cleaned and etched a nominal amount, certainly not taking great care but doing an adequate job it would seem. Western White is the color...as it turns out, a little too white and not enough western, so I may try to topcoat it with a color closer to sandstone/beige/almond...in that range. The surface certainly does not need refreshing; but the Western White is a bit stark in its whiteness and our newly painted Rookwood Blue/Green front door would work better with something a bit more muted. I have zero complaints with this product. I am a little concerned with the effectiveness of a topcoat; but I'm investigating the efficacy of putting a sealer on top of a sealer for the sake of a minor color change. We shall see!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from russet worst paint on market. This product is a waste of time and money. I have had it on my deck for 1 year and I used there product to prep my deck (20 years old sanded whole thing) and pouch (which was all new wood) pieces of the painted surfaces are coming off. I don't know if I will ever buy another Olympic paint product again. I spent 5 days prepping and painting and about $650.00. I would not recommend anyone using this product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brown RUN, RUN, RUN AWAY from this product. Applied it last year, it started bubbling over the winter. Now, half of it is off. I can't the other half off. I JUST TO GET RID OF THIS. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT APPLY. HORRIBLE. I THINK I WOULD GIVE MONEY TO SEE HOW SOMEBODY IS GOING TO TAKE THIS OFF... I HAVE TO SELL A HOUSE AND THIS IS GOING TO BE AN ISSUE COSTING ME MONEY UNTIL I GET IT OFF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ginger We used this last year on our 30 year old deck. We did prep according to directions. The Restore surpassed our expectations and the deck looked new! Now, one year later in the hot and humid South, the deck still looks great. We will put another coat on here every other year or so to maintain, but we have been very pleased so far!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gray Stone We read many of the horror stories but decided they must have been from individuals who didn't take care to do a proper prep. After three solid weekends of stripping and sanding the deck, filling in the larger cracks, we finally spent the money and started applying RescueIt. I must say, it looked fantastic. The deck looked brand new. But as we read, the surface became BLAZING hot during the summer, which had never been a problem before. To use our pool we had to constantly spray down the surface every 30 minutes or so to cool it off, or risk burning feet. Fast forward just over a year to today. I went out to clean the deck with soap, water, and a stiff bristle push broom. The RescueIt is coming up EVERYWHERE. Many of the cracks in the wood had reappeared and now we are going to have to sand the deck yet again to have it look halfway decent for the summer. I can safely say we will NOT be using RescueIt this time around.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from granite Deck was preped/painted by a professional - a few months later it peeled, and peeled and peeled. PPG did replace the product, but I had to pay a professional painter AGAIN to prep/paint. I would never/ever recommend this product. After my siding is cleaned I will use Olympic premium latex stain, which I would/have recommended. Olympic made a big mistake with Rescue It.
